Keeping Up My Exercise

Well, you know that this travel thing has been hard on my exercise routine. It is difficult to exercise in a small space but with the help of my mom or dad I do get in a little prancing and pouncing after my beloved red light.

Hi Folks

I know it has been a long time since I have written but this travel thing is very time consuming and also very tiring. My folks have been buying me toys and all kinds if different treats to keep me happy but sometime I seem to make them not very happy. Like when I keep up my obsession with bitting their hands to play. Buy hey, I look at it like this...their hands have helped me break in my new adult teeth. I now have 12 new pearly white adult teeth up front so every time I smile they sparkle in the sunshine. I think that I am starting to work on my new molars too.

To my friend Landon, I wanted to tell you that my folks bought this little pen thing that emits a bright red light that I just love. They said that you loved to play games with the light also. Maybe when I come to Bracken Place we can run up and down the stairs together...what do you think?

I just have to tell you one more thing...farms are great places! You can run all you want and you don't have to be on a leash. I got to run and play with my new friends (and second cousins?) Buddy and Digger. Oh yes, I don't want to forget my time with Cricket either. I am only sorry that I didn't get to meet Scooter. It was all great and I am really sad that our farm stays are over.

Where's The Whipped Cream ?

Boy, oh boy I thought I was really living with one fun, if not kinky family, when they started to get me wet and make what looked like whipped cream.

Hey, wait a minute that's not whipped cream, yuk, it is some kind of soapy stuff. What are they doing to me?

This stuff tastes terrible. Besides, I am freezing...I can't believe that they are drenching me with "COLD" water. What on earth did I do to deserve this? I am going to get a big payback for enduring this torture... maybe I'll eat someone's shoe tonight while they are sound asleep! Oh, yeah they lock me in my crate at night so I will have to save up my revenge for tomorrow!

At The End of My Rope

Yes, I am at the end of my rope over this travel thing. Yesterday I tried ti dig my way out of the camp ground and despite all of the nice sandy soil, the numerous tree roots foiled my plan. I want to be home so I can be free to run in the meadow. My mom and dad and committed to fencing some of the meadow so I can run and play as much as I want. I did get to graduate to the "big" dog crate today so I have more room...ahhhh, now I can stretch out and even stand up when I want.

The Travels of Super Kallie

Hi friends! Boy oh boy have I been busy. This travel thing can wear a puppy out. I must confess however that my old addition is still with me and I had a couple of bad days where my mom and dad were about ready to tie me to a tree and leave me (but I knew they would never do that in a million years). But even when I was really bad my mom would hold me in her lap as long as I didn't try to wash her face for her.

I have had so much fun playing in the snow for the last four days. Here in Yellowstone National Park the snow in the camp ground is two to three feet deep in spots. It is a whole lot taller than I am and I have had so much fun digging and burying my face in the hole I dig. Sometimes I just ran and dove into a pile of it and rolled or ate a big mouthful of those little icy crystals. My big sister is not as crazy about it as I am...she says the cold makes her joints ache.

Today we had to move on and leave the snow area and I am afraid that places without it won't be as much fun for me as this has been. Oh, I forgot to tell you I met a really nice boy at our campground. His name is Max and he is a fellow Golden Retriever, just 7 months old. He is so handsome with his shiny dark copper fur. Max was real nice to me and very much of a gentlemen. He never got angry with my biting and barking. He even let me stand on top of a snow bank so I was nose to nose with him. Ah the fond memories of that first summer romance. Maybe someday I will get to go to Las Vegas and try to find Max.

Another Day In The Box

Another day down and another 265 miles mostly spent in my crate. Mom and dad say I am a great traveler because I pretty much sleep and don't make a fuss.

I want to thank my fans that have added comments but dad said to tell Molly I don't need any encouragement, I am doing quite well on my own.

Yes I Am Addicted!

Well, I've gone and done it today. My mom and dad are really upset with me. They took me for a walk along with my big sister. We walked through the grounds of the Sister's Rodeo Grounds and my big sister found something dead. My dad yelled at her and she came and sat like a good dog should. I of course ran right to it and chowed down on it. Both mom and dad were yelling like crazy. Then just to drive them a little more crazy, I found some goose droppings, yum.

After that adventure, mom and dad made me pledge to join DTCPA (Dead Things and Critter Poop Anonymous). It is sort of like Al-Anon for dogs. My mom just keeps saying it is because I am still so young. My dad says "Yes, young and stupid!"

Road Trips...Yuck!

So tell me what is all of this hype about road trips. I got to spend 265 miles in my crate all to play in the snow for 20 minutes. I think road trips are grossly over rated.

A Lesson of Life

Yesterday I learned one of those hard lessons of life. Just because I find something and I think it smells interesting doesn't mean that I should eat it. I have eaten sticks and pine cones, grass and flowers, dug up roots and all sorts of interesting things in my mom's flowerbeds (she really gets upset with me). But yesterday, I found some wild turkey droppings and I don't mean spilled Kentucky sippin' whiskey. Well, I'm here to tell you it is BAAADDD STUFF. And the good news is that I am here to tell you that because I spent all day yesterday throwing up and being sick...reallllly sick. I was supposed to go to the vet for some more shots but they wouldn't give them to me because I was sick. My mom says she hopes I learned my lesson. My dad told her that like most kids I probably didn't learn anything. We will see!

But that was yesterday and today I am back and raring to go. We went back to the vet and got the rest of my booster shots so I am ready to go on this long adventure with my folks. We are going to go see all kinds of interesting things and places. The thing I am not sure about is that I will have to spend so much time in that crate thing that they call a "doggie taxi". Who are they kidding? Everyone knows that a taxi has two seats and windows that roll down and even a trunk where you can put your luggage. We had a test run last weekend when I got to stay in the motor home overnight. It went pretty well but I prefer grass to asphalt. My dad says I will gets lots of new experiences on this trip so I need to go start packing my favorite toys since I can't take them all. He also says that we will try to write to everyone during the trip but he gets pretty busy some times and forgets.

Have a great remainder of the Spring! I love my big sister!!

Spring has finally arrived..Yahoo!

Man, oh man, this growth thing takes a lot of energy. From just 10 days ago I have gotten taller and longer. You can see that my big sister now tries to get me in a full on bear hug when we are wrestling. She is finding it harder to just roll me over with her nose like she did in the beginning. She is still so very patient with me and has yet to get really mad at me even when I sink my puppy teeth into her cheek or ear. You might want to look back at my first post for a real size comparison.

Spring is absolutely the best. I have been outside in the sunshine and enjoying the beautiful weather. I have also discovered how much fun it is to pull up my mom's lawn and attack her plants in the flower beds. She seems to be upset with me but hey, that's what puppies do. She has been working with me on some training and I love it because it means lots of treats. So far we are working on "Come" and "Sit". They are going pretty well but I really don't like the "Off" and "No" commands...they usually put an end to my fun.

We also have this other animal that lives here. She is not too sure about me yet but I think things are getting better between us. She is about the same color and size as me but she has these funny stripes all over her. I think maybe she escaped from a prison and forgot to dump the jumpsuit...kind of a give away if you ask me.

Dad took the movie of me below so you could see how much fun I have pulling up Mom's lawn. If they let me keep at it, I am sure that I can pull it all up before the summer is over. He wanted to take a movie of me the other day when it rained because I was just like the typical little kid jumping up and down in the puddles. The big difference...I didn't have any rubber boots. Sorry you missed it, I have to admit I was pretty cute. And best of all I got a rub down afterwards with a nice warm towel...something like mass
age therapy for dogs.

Have to go now, there are butterflies and bees that I am just discovering and they want me to come
and play. See you soon!

Spring is on the way...or not!

Every day seems to be a new adventure. There is this big cat that lives at my house and even though I am about two thirds the size of it, it is scared of me. It maybe because I leap at it just like I do with my big sister when I want to play. The funny thing is that she doesn't seem to mind my big sister who is way bigger than the cat is. Whatever!!

I had a lot of fun playing with the sealing ring from a canning jar yesterday. I guess I am just a typical kid...sometimes more interested in the packing box than the contents. Right now it is nice to be amused by small things since mom and dad have already told me that the older I get the more complicated life will become.

I have said how patient my big sister Annie has been, well yesterday I gave her the ultimate test. My dad had given her one of her favorite cookies and I decided that I wanted to see what it was like. I wandered right up to her and took it out of her mouth and she didn't even growl or get mad at me. I wonder how long she will let me get away with that?

Dad's Home...Yeah!!

Man, this blogging is hard work when your feet are so small, I think I am going to take a little nap before I press on.

My dad went to Seattle to work with his friends this week and guess what, when he came home his suitcase was full of new toys for me from my friends Sydney and Landon. I was really happy to see him last night and I kissed him and bit at his beard and all kind of things to make sure he knew how happy I was. I am not real sure that he appreciated my total enthusiasm. My big sister Annie has been a saint this week. She has been so patient and kind. I know that I can get a little annoying especially when I run and steal every toy that she tries to play with and bite her ears with my sharp little puppy teeth.

Today I went for a ride in the car to the big feed and pet store to buy a portable pen for when mom and dad are working outside. They think I might try to run away. They are so silly. Why would I do a thing like that when I have a warm bed, two water bowls and someone fills my food bowl every time I empty it.

I am accumulating so many toys that sometimes I don't know which once to attack first so I have resorted to disassembling a cardboard toilet paper tube...it's one of my favorite things to do. One thing is for sure, when you are young and cute everyone loves you. I am not too sure about these trips to the store though, all these strange people come and poke you and pinch you and say "Ahhhhhhhh, how cute". Yuk, I don't even know these people.

LOOK OUT WORLD HERE I COME!

I am young and beautiful and I have the whole world to conquer.

Can you believe that they said I have to be at least 13 years old to have this blog. Everyone knows that an 8 weeks old pup is just as bright as a 13 year old human. Beside, if I were 13 years old I would probably be on so much arthritis medication that I wouldn't be able to type.

Last Friday I was adopted by two seemingly nice humans although they do seem to have some strange habits. Every time I put my nose down to the carpet and start to cruise they grab me up and run me outside and stand me in the wet grass...what are they thinking? In my new family I have a 9 1/2 year old sister that has displayed a little attitude since I came on the scene. She seems to be put out that she is not the only one that gets mom and dad's attention. She is also a little possessive about toys but I know it is just a matter of time before she loves me and will be so glad that I came to live with her. I am sure that we will be best friend.

Dad says that I have been on the computer long enough for my first outing so I have to go now...talk with you all soon!
